Canmore Family & Pet Photographer

Introducing Freya.

Freya is a heeler-husky super mutt from rural Saskatchewan. The newest addition to Camille and Justin’s family. This means her future consists of lots of hikes and adventures, plenty of wrestling on the living room floor, and general charmed dog-life shenanigans.

Our dog Hobbit, would like to add that Freya is her favourite puppy to go full gremlin on, now that Freya has grown to be larger than she is and Hobbit is unable to stick the whole of Freya’s head in her mouth.

Shortly after picking Freya up from her foster, Camille asked if I would document this little slice of life since we all know they grow up so dang fast. Contrary to popular belief, I do photograph families, and oh boy do I ever photograph puppies.

I met them in their Canmore home, expecting a rambunctious puppy. Instead, her walk earlier in the day had reduced her to a foldable ball of absolute adorableness that I am not ashamed to say I cooed and fawned over. Shortly after, we left for the pathway beside The Malcolm Hotel, since it was the only spot accessible after a serious dumping of snow the night before. By then she had woken ever so slightly. She was a very good girl. A very good girl indeed.
