Toronto Sikh Wedding

As someone whose most comfortable niche is intimate weddings and elopements the prospect of photographing two days of a traditional Sikh wedding spoke directly to my documentary loving heart (with mayhaps a touch of extra-productive nervousness). Two days full of so much heart, that honoured their families and celebrated each other. Two days with so many vibrant colours that even I couldn’t deny it photographed brilliantly in colour. Two days of human connections, from the frustrations and daydreams of being a child and attending a wedding, to the bittersweetness of your child being married, to those stolen glances during the ceremony and quiet moments throughout the day.  These two days challenged my approach and refreshed my vision.
