Benjamin and Ryan’s proposal story was shared on Martha Stewart Weddings!

When planning a proposal there are so many options, whether it is a grand gesture, a public display, in the comfort of your own home or mayhaps while traveling. Ben and Ryan have a love for the outdoors, which play an important part of their story, so it was natural Ben saw their Banff trip as a perfect opportunity to propose after five years of adventure together. We plotted to start with a session and move to Peyto Lake as the last of the light reached the valley. There, out of sight from others far above the glacial blue Peyto Lake, Ben got down on one knee and asked Ryan to marry him. The answer was yes.
