Cassie + Warren
Intimate British Columbia Backyard Wedding
How delightful is this day? A couple who got ready in their historic home along the Fraser River in northern British Columbia, who first saw each other in the familiarity of their backyard beneath two trees. Who then awaited their ceremony in the comfort of their living room. When they got the call everyone had arrived, they strolled out their front door, with their dog at their side, and ambled to the nearby park hand-in-hand, to the delight of their thirty-odd friends standing, waiting for them in the pleasant warmth of the midday.
I delight in the simplicity of it all. Of arranging a day that honoured the things important to them, of including their pup, in a place they will pass everyday. Of remarking it was garbage day on the way to the ceremony, and a grandmother that revelled over florals, of nephews fascinated by a passing train, and forests with greenery carpeting the floor.
Cassie and Warren’s darling backyard wedding in northern British Columbia.
A massive congratulations to Something Blue Floral Design for designing Cassie’s stunning bouquet and being a finalist for her work in the prestigious and highly competitive BC Wedding Awards.

This is absolutely stunning in all its simplicity.
