Angela & Ryan
Mountain Wedding Photography

While editing Angela and Ryan’s images I discovered something. I found that hands convey emotion more powerfully than the rest of the body. The way Angela pinned the boutonniere on her father’s jacket, the way he gently held his daughter’s hand before they walked down the aisle, how Ryan held onto Angela – such simple gestures that expressed how they were feeling at that moment.  Then there were the more obvious moments. The image of her dress being put on in which her zipper caught her skin and the look of absolute joy on Ryan’s face when he first saw Angela. These moments are what make weddings so fascinatingly unique.

Mountain weddings are predictably unpredictable. The weather leading up to their day switched between sunny, cloudy and rain. That morning it was suppose to be a mix of rain and sun. Well, I don’t recall seeing the sun.  There was no disappointment from Angela or Ryan. For their photos they were scrambling over uneven ground, sliding down hills while trying to go up, and embracing of the cloudy day that hid the mountains from sight.

Angela and Ryan, congratulations, you are two wonderful people and I am so glad you found each other and you asked me to document your wedding day.
