Jieun & Alvin
Icefields Parkway Engagement

My new favourite thing is morning sessions. The stillness of the air, the light hitting the ridges of the mountains, the steam rising off still water. The air is crisp and silent.

We started on the Icefields Parkway. A cloud had settled on the road enveloping it in an eerie landscape of treed shadows and bending roads. Within minutes the cloud dissipated and we continued our way to Bow Lake. A gem alongside the Parkway with rocky shores and the most majestic view of Crowfoot Mountain. Stretches of water that perfectly reflected the landscape that holds it was our backdrop. As the morning drew onwards the sound of birds and people began to interject the quietness we had grown accompanied to. The water started began to ebb with the winds coming down the valley, as the light sunk lower on the mountains. To close the session and the morning, Jieun and Alvin were brave to wade into the glacier waters.

That morning was absolutely magical.

I’ve been looking forward to this blog post and it did not disappoint. I freaking love everything about this; the location, the outfits, the light, how nice and moody it is, her headpiece. it’s perfect. <3
