Cara-Lee & Grant
Elegant Banff Wedding

There was something about Cara-Lee and Grant’s wedding that just evokes elegance. Subtle details, a wonderfully monotonous colour scheme, a classiness. The backdrop was the grand Mount Stephens Hall at the castle in the Rockies, adding a touch of grandeur.

Cara-Lee and Grant traveled from the prairies with their family and friends to Banff to celebrate their commitment to each other.  As Cara-Lee prepared to walk down the aisle Grant was handed a guitar from his best man. He held it up and began singing. Throughout the hall was Unchained Melody –  the song that Cara-Lee had requested. As she came down the aisle with her father she happily looked about at all of their guests, but it was half way down that she realized that it was not the recording of the song that she was hearing, but instead Grant.  A romantic gesture in it’s simplest form, but even more so when one knows that Cara-Lee, in all their years together, had not once heard Grant sing. By the time her and her father were before him he was grinning as much as he could, as she looked back and laughed. I can quite honestly say this was one of the sweetest moments I have witnessed.

The sentimentals were continued at their reception. Stories of their childhoods, their familes, their meeting, their love for one another.

Thank you for having me.
