Wendi and Sam | Couple Session

So what feels like a ridiculously long time ago I showed you this image of Wendi and Sam. Wendi had contacted me after seeing Joy and Josh’s engagement session and as a budding photographer (slash now I see far being budding and more like producing über strong work) we met just to discuss photography and life. That turned into a miniature 20 minute couples session.

I’m back after visiting six countries and summer. Yes, I visited summer and it was absolutely lovely.

Today I had the delight of meeting with Danielle and Grant for the first part of their engagement session. It was so frigid today in Calgary with flurries that developed to drifting snow, which then became blowing snow (yes these are technical terms in Canada) right when we started their shoot. Needless to say the primary concept of this session was to ‘cuddle’ and ‘keep each other warm’. Thankfully they are perfectly capable of both of these and look so sweet doing so even if it was -20C/-5F with windchill. Just one for now.

Happy couples make me happy.

Wendi and Sam | Just One

So hands down the best part of my two month road trip was meeting people. Particularly people like Wendi and Sam in Michigan. I’ll talk more about them later but they are all kinds of amazing.

Lots of stuff happening right now in the office, wediting (aka. wedding editing) being the largest component and I will openly admit, I tear up reliving moments of couple’s wedding days. I have such an amazing job it makes me grin. Can hardly wait to share these weddings and couples.

Antara and Mike | Edmonton Engagement

This past week I had the delight of meeting with Antara and Mike for the first time over dinner before we braved the mosquitos and threatening clouds for their engagement session. Needless to say I am thoroughly excited for their wedding next week at the Fairmont Banff Springs.

Desirae and James | Calgary Engagement

I’m literally clapping my hands with excitement for Desirae and James’ wedding at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis at the end of July. They are such a sweet easy going-couple, so photogenic, and an absolute delight to chat with. I can already tell just how much their family and friends mean to them and that a grand time is to be had on their wedding day – and with amazing views and with two people such as Desirae and James how can you go wrong? Enjoy their engagement and check back in only a few weeks for their wedding!
