It was so much fun the last time I decided to do it all over again!
#1 – Stairs are meant to be conquered by twos. This is a direct result of my older sister informing me there was a bobcat in the furnace room, which was at the bottom of the stairs. Not being able to see the door I would sprint up the stairs as a child to avoid any surprise attack by said bobcat. I still go up stairs by two and have to consciously remind myself this looks awkward in public.
#2 – Crayon is said cran. Milk is melk. Pillow is pellow. Room is ruum. Can you tell my parents grew up just outside of Detroit?
#3 – One of my greatest fears is embarrassment.
#4 – I find history fascinating but could never study it due to my inability to remember non-personal names and dates.
#5 – I adore soundtracks. I’m a Hans Zimmer fan.

#6 – I have absolutely zero idea where I will be in five years. It is mildly thrilling.
#7 – When learning to type in grade 3 the teacher required a shoebox with a small slit in the side to be placed over your hands on the keyboard. I distinctly remember coming home and bawling out of frustration. I can now type at 98wpm without even looking at the computer. Go Ms. Thirsk!
#8 – When I was younger I swam – a lot. I refused to go to competitions however since I was shy and therefore terrified of competition. Although I distinctly remember one little boy challenging me to a race during a swimming lesson – I thoroughly kicked his.. er.. trunks.
#9 – Coming from a very musically talented family the only instrument I am apt at is the radio. I can also whistle quite well – however I am essentially tone deaf (you do the math for the enjoyment level for everyone else when I break out into song).
#10 – I’m a personality chameleon. If people have a common saying or hand motion and I hang around them enough I will inadvertently pick it up.
#11 – I didn’t see the ‘correct’ caribou in the Canadian quarter until I was 12. I’ll let the image below explain it. (Embarrassed)
#12 – When frustrated I will say ‘Oh crumb’. I recently discovered this is a result of the sidekick character on Danger Mouse saying this. I have not watched Danger Mouse since I was 7.
#13 – Accents are amazing.
#14 – In grade 8 I was part of a 4×400 relay team that was 0.02s away from breaking the track record for that age division. I regret not pushing just a bit more.
#15 – I memorized the first two paragraphs of A Tale of Two Cities for fun.
#16 – When stepping on a plane my left foot is the last one to touch solid ground. I have done this since I was 6.
#17 – My ‘I am too lazy to lift a finger and would rather starve than open a microwave door’ meal is a hamburger bun with ketchup spread on top.
#18 – I do not understand jewellery and therefore all I own has been gifted to me.
#19 – Today I learnt Hasselblads are from Sweden. I feel significantly less ignorant now.
#20 – I still spell Wednesday (Wensday?) wrong and it takes me until June to consistently remember the new year.
Also. Keep checking back. The next blog post (with real images I promise) is in the works.
